Exchange Programs at Niskayuna High School
We have a variety of foreign exchange programs for students at Niskayuna.
Germany
Our partner school in Germany is called the Freiherr von Stein Gymnasium. It is located in the city of Hamm in the state of Nordrhein-Westfalen. This German exchange has been in existence for the past six years. This spring fourteen students and two teachers from Niskayuna will travel to Germany to visit our partner school. During their stay in Germany, they will be making a number of trips to places of interest including Berlin and Bonn. If you would like to see what our German partner school looks like, you can visit their school website.
France
In France, Niskayuna has a partnership with the Lycée Jules Fil in Carcassonne. Carcassonne is the most perfectly preserved medieval city in France. This French school exchange began this year. During the current school year twenty-one French students will be visiting Niskayuna together with their English teachers, Serge and Viviane. The students will arrive in October. Niskayuna students will travel to France in April. To get a glimpse of the sites of Carcassonne, you can visit the official Carcassonne website.
Mexico
Tulancingo, Mexico is the site of Niskayuna's exchange program in Mexico. Tulancingo is located not far from Mexico City in the Federal District. This Spanish language exchange has been in operation since 1998. Spanish classes look forward to visiting their partners in Tulancingo in the near future.
