DRAWING AND PAINTING

The
Drawing and Painting course is designed for students whose primary
interest in art lies in two-dimensional expression. Its concern is with
drawing,
painting,
and printmaking mediums and their skills and concepts. Its purpose is
to provide opportunity for the acquisition and development of basic
draftsmanship, composition and the application of color theory. Its
scope includes acquisition of basic drawing and painting skills,
composition, and
the use of color in several media including acrylic polymer, charcoal,
mixed media, pencil and watercolor.
