This
is a National Exhibition of Award-Winning Works of Art by High School
students.
It celebrates the creative talents of young Americans throughout the
country.
This exhibit is the culmination of "An Artistic Discovery", the Annual
Congressional Art Competition conducted by members of the U.S. House of
Representatives in their Congressional Districts. This is the
twenty-third year of the competition. The 21st Congressional District Arts Competition
is
sponsored by Congressman Michael R.
McNulty's Office. The Congressional
District comprises all of
Albany and Schenectady Counties, most of Montgomery and Rensselaer
Counties,
and the Town of Waterford in Saratoga County. Artwork is selected from
each
school district which is representative of the highest achievement. The selected artwork is juried and one
work is chosen to represent the entire Congressional District. The
winning
artwork is displayed in the Holland Tunnel of the U.S. Capitol for one
year.
