EVALUATION Throughout the 15 weeks of the program, 2/3 of the students in grades one through five participated. The very impressive number of 4785 books were read. At the conclusion of the program, evaluation sheets were sent to parents and given to all students and teachers. Everyone was overwhelmingly pleased with the program and would like it to continue. The main things that the students liked about the program was the opportunity to read and the prizes. Teachers felt that this type of incentive contributes to their language arts programs. Parents were very pleased to see their children reading so many books.
