Introduction
This hunt was designed in 2005 for use by third graders in conjunction with their study of the solar system. The objective was for students to increase their knowledge of the solar system by visiting a variety of internet sites. However, the solar system is no longer part of our third grade curriculum. We were going to remove it from our links but since we receive many e-mails from teachers around the country who use the scavenger hunt with their classes, we've decided to keep it. Be aware that we're not actively maintaining the site and all the links may not work. If you send us an e-mail and suggest a replacement for any broken links you find, we will try to update them at our earliest opportunity.

The Big Question
After completing the questions for each planet, the students should review their answers to see what was learned about the environment on each planet. The students are then asked to select a favorite planet to return to. They should use their new knowledge to explain their choice.
